MO selected to pilot

The U.S. Department of Education has selected Missouri as the only state for the 25-26 school year to pilot a groundbreaking statewide assessment program focused on improving existing assessments in English language arts and mathematics through the Innovative Assessment Demonstration Authority (IADA)!

This positions Missouri as a national leader in designing flexible and student-centered assessment systems. The IADA empowers DESE to begin development of its Success Ready Student Assessment (SRSA) system. This innovative approach moves beyond traditional end-of-year testing offering through-year, modular assessments that give students multiple opportunities to show what they know and allow educators to respond in real time.

  • Aligned to Missouri Learning Standards

  • Designed by Missouri educators

  • Supports both traditional and competency-based learning

  • Empowers real-world learning
