3.1: Sharing Practice
Districts shared across the network some of their innovative practices around the eight elements of personalized competency-based learning. Two SDZ 1 districts, Branson and Liberty shared how they are beginning to use the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) tool as a lens for strategic thinking and planning. The CIF may be used by any district.

This session focused on stretching participants thinking around new pathways for Real World Learning. The expert speaker for the session was Nate McClennen from Getting Smart. The session also included perspectives from Josh Schachter from CommunityShare about how to create a learning ecosystem and learning around various supports for documenting these types of student learning experiences from Aaron Schorn from Unrulr.
