Are you looking to take your Personalized Competency-based learning (PCBL) knowledge to the next level? Four deeper learning pathways are outlined on this page:

Explore the 4 pathways and personalize your learning by identifying the topics that best meet your needs. For each topic, multiple sessions will be offered. When registering, you may select which sessions to join.

All sessions are at no cost to the districts or participants. Funding is provided by the Competency-Based Learning Grant awarded by DESE in November 2023.

This is optional learning for SRSN participants. Personalized competency-based learning (PCBL) leadership teams, teachers, principals, coaches, and leaders are encouraged to explore these pathways.

Most of the sessions are virtual with just one in-person offering. For the virtual sessions, participants have the option to register and attend in real-time, or watch the recording after the event.

SRSN System Design Zone participants will engage in learning around Real World Learning during Regional sessions. This fifth pathway of learning for districts is customized based on regional context and needs. Check the Events page for dates of these sessions.

Pathways

For some of the topics, the sessions follow-up on content discussed in a SRSN Monthly Learning session. Because of this, you will see some of the Monthly Learning sessions included in the pathway. The Monthly Learning sessions do not require registration.

A few of the deeper learning sessions are related to learning from last year, because the topics were indicated as a need in last year’s SRSN survey. There is one foundational learning offering that is available only in-person, which is designed just for instructional staff including teachers, and has a limited number of available seats.
